On March 31st, the Flagler Enactus team packed up their bags & headed to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in Regionals. After a seven hour bus ride, the team was able to stretch their legs & explore downtown Atlanta to grab lunch. Later, we reconvened in the hotel conference room to practice before turning in for the night– the team needed a full night’s sleep for the full day ahead!
Our team competed first in our league. We had a very successful presentation, with a solid Q&A period! Four teams of every league moved on to Nationals. Check back soon to find out about our new projects!
Members really enjoyed networking with judges & recruiters at the job fair, which included partner companies such as Walmart & Sam’s Club, Robert Half, Mondelez, Walgreens, Bimbo, ADP, and many more. Naturally, the networking opportunities weren’t the only thing the students looked forward about– the free swag from partner companies are always a plus!
After a luncheon at the conference center & the career fair, all the teams at the competition gathered for the awards ceremony. Introductory speeches from different Enactus officials and partner company leaders fostered an atmosphere of anticipation & excitement. Students were recognized for getting interviews, jobs, and receiving Service Leadership Awards (of course, Flagler College was well represented!) before trophies were awarded. At random, college teams were called up to the stage to receive their trophies– including Flagler College!
We will be competing in St. Louis at the National Exposition on May 15-17th. With only a few more weeks, our team has not skipped a beat & is working tirelessly to get qualitative & quantitative results & outcomes for our projects.
