2015 Fall Training Conference

This month, five Flagler College students attended the Enactus Fall Training Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was sponsored by Walmart and Sam’s Club and hosted by the Marriott Alpharetta. The conference was revamped this year to include group working sessions and content sessions. The topics for content sessions ranged from how to conduct a comprehensive needs assessments to preparing for competition. The students that attended discovered new ways to fundraise for projects and recruit new team members. After lunch was provided, Enactus students had the opportunity to attend a career fair where they had the chance to network with recruiters from Enactus partner companies. Omicron Delta Kappa

In December 2014, five Flagler Enactus students were inducted into the Flagler College Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa. ODK is a National Leadership Honor Society that recognizes individuals who consistently achieve high standards of excellence throughout the five celebrated phases of campus life. The five Flagler Enactus students, Bara Sebvoka, Tricia Beck-Peter, Chelsea Reppin, Rudselyne de Kort, and Brooke Sparks were inducted by the President of Flagler College, Dr. William Abare.  Induction into ODK is considered one of the highest collegiate honors an individual can be awarded.

Flagler Enactus attends the Enactus Fall Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA.

A group of 15 Flagler College Enactus students attended the Enactus Fall Leadership Conference on October 24, 2014 at the Home Depot Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. A reprsentative of the Home Depot started the conference by welcoming everyone and introducing the Home Depot values. Throughout the day Regional Program Managers of Enactus USA presented content sessions focused on revised criterion training, project outcome, seeing opportunity and challenging industry stereotypes, recruitment and fundraising. During the conference, students attended an Employer Information Session where they networked with partner companies including Wal-Mart, Mondelez, Avis Budget Group, CHEP and Liberty Mutual. Aditionally, several students took part in a private tour of the Home Depot Headquarters.
